Natalja Wiktorowna Levtschenkowa ( Russian: Наталья Викторовна Левченкова , Romanian Natalia Levcencova ; born July 30, 1977 in Smolensk ) is a former biathlete who started in 1997 initially for Russia and from 2003 for the Republic of Moldova .

Natalia Levtschenkowa began her career in 1988 for the Dynamo Smolensk club . She was trained by Alexander Chlussowitsch. Levtschenkowa started for Russia for the first time at the international level at the junior world championships in Forni Avoltri at the age of 20 . Here she won bronze medals in the singles and with the relay, which also included Wolha Nasarawa and Jekaterina Iwanowa . But she could not fight for a place in the World Cup team in the strong Russian team in the following years and moved to Moldova for the 2003/04 season . In retrospect, however, all results in this World and European Cup season were not counted for formal reasons and Levtschenkowa was disqualified for these races.

So her career in the Moldovan team did not begin until the following season. First she achieved notable results at the first European Cup of the season in Geilo . She then made her regular World Cup debut in Beitostølen as 62nd in the sprint. In her second race, an individual at Holmenkollen in Oslo , she was 28th for the first time to achieve World Cup points. She achieved her best result of the season in the context of the Biathlon World Championships in 2005 in Hochfilzen . Here she finished eleventh in the pursuit after a 27th place in the sprint after being the only starter with no mistakes at the shooting range. The following 2005/06 season was even better. In Antholz she achieved her best World Cup result to date in seventh place. Her best performance so far, however, was eighth in the individual at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . She also achieved good results in pursuit (23rd) and mass start (21st). Levtschenkowa repeated eighth place in the individual during the Biathlon World Championships 2008 in Östersund . There she was also 44th in the sprint, 42nd in the pursuit and 21st in the mass start. The next major event she started at the Biathlon World Championships 2009 in Pyeongchang and had the outstanding result with eighth place in the pursuit after she had only landed 43rd in the sprint before. In individual she was 18th, in the mass start race 25. 2010 Levtschenkowa went to the Winter Olympics at the start. Her best result was the 37th place in the individual. She was 53rd in the sprint and 53rd in the pursuit. In the 2010/11 season she could no longer start regularly in the World Cup due to lack of support from the association and never reached the points. So after the season she ended her career.
