Natalja Andrejewna Sobolewa ( Russian: Наталья Андреевна Соболева ; born December 11, 1995 in Tashagol ) is a Russian snowboarder . It starts in the parallel disciplines.

Career

Sobolewa started in Adelboden for the first time in the European Cup in January 2011 and finished 18th and 17th in the parallel giant slalom. At the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2011 in Liberec , she was fifth in the parallel giant slalom. She completed her first World Cup race in March 2011 in Moscow and came 34th in the parallel slalom. In the 2012/13 season she won four European Cups and also took second place and third place once. She came in fifth place in the parallel ranking. In January 2013 she reached her first top ten placement in the World Cup with fourth place in the parallel slalom in Bad Gastein . In the same month she achieved seventh place in the parallel slalom at the Snowboard World Championships in Stoneham . At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2013 in Erzurum , she won the bronze medal in the parallel slalom. In addition, she was fifth there in the parallel giant slalom. In the 2013/14 season she came in six World Cup starts, twice in the top ten and thus took 12th place in the Parallel World Cup and ninth place in the Parallel Slalom World Cup. At the highlight of the season, the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she came 15th in the parallel slalom. At the 2014 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco and at the 2015 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Yabuli , she won gold in both the parallel slalom and the parallel giant slalom. In the 2014/15 season she came 17th in the Parallel Slalom World Cup, the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup and the Parallel World Cup. Her best individual result was fourth place in the parallel giant slalom in the Carezza ski area . In Montafon , she achieved her first podium finish in the World Cup with second place in the team competition together with her brother Andrei . At the season highlight of the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , she came 20th in the parallel giant slalom and 12th in the parallel slalom. In the following season she ran two placements in the top ten, 16th in the Parallel World Cup and 13th in the Parallel Slalom World Cup. At the Snowboard World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada , she achieved 18th place in the parallel slalom. After finishing 24th and 20th in the parallel giant slalom at the beginning of the 2017/18 season, she achieved her first podium finish in the individual World Cup with third place in the parallel slalom in Cortina d'Ampezzo . At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he finished 19th in the parallel giant slalom. She finished the season in 14th place in the Parallel World Cup and fifth in the Parallel Slalom World Cup.

In the 2018/19 season, Sobolewa achieved seven top ten placements, including second place in the parallel giant slalom in Rogla , eighth place in the parallel world cup and sixth place in the parallel giant slalom world cup. At the 2019 World Championships in Park City , she won the silver medal in the parallel giant slalom. She also came in 14th place in the parallel slalom there. At the beginning of March 2019 she won the bronze medal in the parallel giant slalom and the silver medal in the parallel slalom at the Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk . In the following season she was with four top ten results, including third place in the parallel giant slalom in Rogla, tenth in the parallel world cup and eighth in the parallel giant slalom world cup.
