The National League Division Series 2017 (NLDS) will take place between October 6 and October 12, 2017 and is part of the post season of the 2017 MLB season . It is used to determine which two teams will compete against each other in the 2017 National League Championship Series . These are two best-of-five series in which the winners of the three divisions of the National League and the winners of the wildcard game take part. The series is played in mode 2-2-1, i.e. the better seeded team has home rights in games 1, 2 and 5.
