Hornopirén National Park is a 48,232 hectare national park in the Los Lagos region of the Chilean Andes . The majority of the park is characterized by a mountainous landscape and dense vegetation by cool temperate rainforest (Valdivian forest). The Hornopirén National Park is one of the less developed national parks in Chile.

The park is traversed by six medium-sized to smaller rivers, the most important of which is the Rio Blanco, which flows through the two large lakes, General Pinto Concha (4.75 km²) and Lake Inexplorado, 1.5 km².

The park is mentioned above all as one of the last refuges for some highly endangered animal species, such as the Chilean huemúl , the Chilean wildcat and the dwarf deer species pudú .

The national park is named after the 1572 m high volcano Hornopirén , which itself is outside the national park.
