The Iguaçu National Park is a protected area in Paraná , a federal state in southern Brazil . He was expelled in 1986. The Iguaçu waterfalls , which lie on the border with Argentina, are characteristic of the area . The national park is mainly threatened by recurring efforts to reopen a road through the area.

Every year around 1.5 million tourists visit the park, generating around 20 million euros in sales.
