The nature reserve Kellenberger Kamp (NSG identification DN-001) is located in the communities of Jülich and Linnich in the Düren district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is a forest area in the valley of the Roer northwest of Castle Kellenberg between Barmen and Floßdorf . The nature reserve is around 24 hectares and was first designated in 1953.
The NSG areas are located within the much larger FFH area of Kellenberg and Rur between Flossdorf and Broich (identification DE-5003-301), which means that the area is also part of the European Natura 2000 network of protected areas . It is particularly noteworthy that in Kellenberger Kamp there is a relatively strong population of the Atlantic hare bells by German standards .
