Marvin Neal Jones Jr. (born January 2, 1960 in Wichita , Kansas ) is an American actor .

life and career

Neal Jones was born in the city of Wichita, Kansas . He has a brother. After leaving school, he attended the Webster University Conservatory of Theater Arts in St. Louis , Missouri .

After finishing college, Jones went to New York and first appeared in the play Macbeth in the Circle at the Square . This was followed by productions of The Corn is Green and Big River . Jones himself directed the premiere of Don Creedon's play Celtic Tiger . He is a member of the Actors Studio . Jones made his first film appearance in the hit dance film Dirty Dancing as the cousin of Patrick Swayze's character. He then starred in over 25 other films, including On behalf of the Devil , In America and The Jane Files . He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the 2008 Malibu International Film Festival for his performance in the independent film Mona .

In addition to his film appearances, Jones was regularly seen on television in the 1990s and 2000s. There were appearances in The Sopranos , Sex and the City and in Criminal Minds , where he portrayed the mass murderer Karl Arnold alias "The Fox". He played recurring roles in Rescue Me and Generation Kill . His last film project so far (as of April 2020) was the short film Carbone: Breaking Point in 2011, so that he is apparently no longer active as a film actor.

Jones is married with several children.
