Neihu ( Chinese 內 湖區 , Pinyin Nèihú Qū , Pe̍h-ōe-jī Lāi-ô͘ Khu ) is a district of the Taiwanese capital Taipei .

Neihu is located in the eastern urban area of Taipei north of the Keelung River and is surrounded by the neighboring districts of Shilin in the north, Zhongshan and Songshan in the west, Nangang in the south and the Xizhi district of New Taipei city in the east. The terrain is hilly and characterized by numerous depressions , from which the Taiwanese name of the place, which means "inner depressions", is derived. The district is connected to the Taipei subway network and Highway 1 .
meaning
Neihu is one of the largest districts in Taipei City in terms of population and area. The Neihu Technology Park, which was opened in 1995, is of outstanding economic importance. In May 2014, more than 5,000 companies were located there and, according to a study, employed almost 119,000 people in 2012. Neihu is also home to a number of major Taiwanese media outlets, such as TVBS and PTS, and Apple Daily and Liberty Times .
