Nenad Bilbija (born February 6, 1984 in Celje ) is a Slovenian handball player . Since 2018 he has been playing for the German handball club Hannover-Burgwedel .
Career
Bilbija, who suffers from red-green visual impairment , began his handball career in his hometown with RK Celje . With Celje he became Slovenian champions in 2004 and 2005 and won the EHF Champions League in 2004 .
In 2005 Bilbija moved to Spain, where he was first under contract with the second division team BM Cangas and then with Bidasoa Irún . After the relegation of Bidasoa from the ASOBAL league , he moved to the top club BM Valladolid . With Valladolid he won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2009 and played in the EHF Champions League in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons .
In the summer of 2011, Bilbija moved to Germany, where he signed with the second division GWD Minden . In the 2011/12 season he came due to an injury to the Achilles tendon on only 21 missions in which he scored 91 hits. At the end of the season he rose with Minden as a second division champion in the Bundesliga . After Bilbija played with Minden in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2015/16 season, he then returned to the Bundesliga. In summer 2018 he joined the German third division handball Hannover-Burgwedel .
