Neri Menor Vargas

Neri Menor Vargas OFM (born May 30, 1960 in Pacopampa , Cajamarca region , Peru ) is Bishop of Huánuco .

Life

Neri Menor Vargas joined the religious order of the Franciscans in and put on 31 March 1991, the temporal vows from. He studied philosophy and theology at the Instituto Superior de Estudios Teológicos Juan XXIII (ISET) in Lima. He made his perpetual profession on January 25, 1998. Menor received on 20 March 2000, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 12, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Huánuco. The Archbishop of Trujillo , Héctor Miguel Cabrejos Vidarte OFM, donated him episcopal ordination on July 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Huancayo , Pedro Ricardo Barreto Jimeno SJ , and the Bishop Emeritus of Huánuco, Jaime Rodríguez Salazar MCCJ .
