Jaime Rodríguez Salazar MCCJ (born June 15, 1939 in La Luz , Michoacán ) is a Mexican religious and bishop emeritus of Huánuco in Peru .

Life

Jaime Rodríguez Salazar joined the order of the Comboni Missionaries , made his profession on September 9, 1965 and was ordained a priest on July 3, 1966 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Huánuco on December 16, 2004. The Archbishop of Arequipa , José Paulino Ríos Reynoso , donated him episcopal consecration on April 3 of the next year; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Rino Passigato , Apostolic Nuncio in Peru, and Pedro Ricardo Barreto Jimeno , Vicar Apostolic of Jaén .

On May 12, 2016, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
