Network New Music

The New Music Network was a funding project of the German Federal Cultural Foundation from 2008 to 2011 with a funding amount of EUR 8 million (plus EUR 10 million equity contributions and third-party funds). The aim of the project was to promote the composition, performance and communication of new music and to strengthen the position of new music in Germany's music landscape.

The network was a collection of 15 sub-projects, which in turn represented local networks. A total of 255 network partners (ensembles, universities, organizers, ...) worked in the project.

The board of trustees appointed by the cultural foundation was responsible for the conception of the content. The members were: Beat Furrer , Matthias Henke , Renate Liesmann-Baum and Christian Scheib.

The Netzwerk Neue Musik eV , Berlin coordinated the work of the network. The association's board of directors was Bojan Budisavljević (1st chairman) and Florian Bolenius (2nd chairman).
