The coat of arms was approved for the community of Neuenhaßlau on March 14, 1969 by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior . It was designed by the Bad Nauheim heraldist Heinz Ritt .
The three hazelnuts are talking and refer to the former place name "Hasela" (hazel (nut)). The counter-tinned bar comes from the coat of arms of the Lords of Rückingen , who donated a chapel that no longer exists in 1343. Red and gold indicate the county of Hanau , to which the place formerly belonged.
