Ni Amorim (born March 1, 1962 in Porto ) is a Portuguese racing driver .

Career

Amorim drove his first rallies in national championships at the age of 19 . In 1983 he got into national touring car racing and drove there until 1994. He achieved four championship titles there (1987, 1989 and 1990 with Ford Sierra and 1993 with an Opel Astra ).

His touring car highlights included not only his entry into the German Touring Car Championship in 1995, but also the Macau races between 1992 and 1995. In the DTM season 1995 (with an Opel Calibra from Team Joest) he finished 21st overall with five points.

1997 Ni Amorim moved to the FIA GT Championship ; there he reached some points (1997 Roock Porsche 911 GT2, 1998-2000 Chamberlain Chrysler Viper GTS-R, 2003 Graham Nash Saleen S7R). In 2004 he achieved his masterpiece in the BRDC GT series with a Ferrari 360 Modena.
