Nick Hysong

Nick Hysong (born December 12, 1971 in Winslow , Arizona ) is an American pole vaulter and Olympic champion .

At the 1999 World Championships in Seville , he came fourth with 5.70 m.

At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney he won the gold medal with his personal best of 5.90 m. A year later he won the bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton , and at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki , he finished fifth.
