Nick Searcy (born March 7, 1959 in Cullowhee, North Carolina ) is an American actor .

Life and accomplishments

Searcy made his debut in the television drama Abysses of Life in 1990 . In the same year he played a small supporting role alongside Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in the racing driver film Days of Thunder . In 1994, he stepped in some episodes of the TV series Thunder Alley alongside Haley Joel Osment and played in the film drama Nell the role of Sheriff Todd Peterson , whose wife Mary first Nell Kellty ( Jodie Foster helps). In Desert Winds in 1995 he took on a larger role alongside Heather Graham .

In Paradise Falls he was not only active as an actor, but also a director and film producer. For this work he won the 1998 Hollywood Discovery Award of the Hollywood Film Festival and the Southeastern Media Award of the Atlanta Film Festival . From 1998 to 2001 he was in the television series Seven Days as Nathan Ramsey . In 2004 he played a bigger role in the assassination attempt on Richard Nixon alongside Sean Penn and Naomi Watts . Since 2010 he has played one of the leading roles as Chief Deputy Art Mullen in the TV series Justified .

Searcy has been married to actress Leslie Riley since 1986 .
