Nicolaus Eckart

Nicolaus Joseph Eckart (born July 9, 1794 in Mainz ; † July 27, 1862 in Lohr am Main ) was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

The son of Sergeant Nicolaus Joseph Eckart took part in the Wars of Liberation as a lieutenant in the Bavarian Army from 1813 to 1815 . From 1819 to 1824 he was a camera intern , initially at the Rent Office in Ochsenfurt , and from 1823 at the accounting office of the Isarkkreis in Munich . 1823-1827 Eckart was a functionary in the state accounting of finances in Munich and 1827-62 rent clerk, first in Miltenberg , 1831-1838 in Euerdorf , 1838-1847 in Klingenberg , from 1847 in Lohr.

Political activity

Eckart was from May 18, 1848 to May 7, 1849 for the 7th constituency of Lower Franconia ( Gemünden ), a member of the National Assembly in the Paulskirche in Frankfurt . He was from August 25, 1848 in the Finance Committee and from March 9, 1849 to May 4, 1849 in the Committee for People's Armament and Army. Eckart initially belonged to the right-wing casino faction and then joined their more conservative spin-off, the Paris Court . He voted against the election of Friedrich Wilhelm IV as Emperor of the Germans .
