Nicole Razavi (born May 20, 1965 in Hong Kong ) is a CDU politician from Baden-Württemberg .

Life and work

Nicole Razavi attended high school in Ebersbach an der Fils and passed her Abitur there. This was followed by studying English , political science and sports science in Tübingen and Oxford . In 1991 she passed the first and in 1993 the second state examination.

After completing her studies, she worked from 1993 to 1995 as an assessor and lecturer at the business school in Stuttgart-Feuerbach . From 1995 to 2001, she took over the management of the press and marketing department of the Baden-Württemberg local transport company . From 2001 to 2004 she then worked as a personal assistant to the State Secretary in the Ministry for the Environment and Transport in Baden-Württemberg . From 2004 to 2005 she was the head of the ministerial office. She was already in contact with the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg through her work from 2005 to April 2006 as head of the office of the chairman of the CDU parliamentary group, Stefan Mappus .

politics

Within her party, Nicole Razavi has been chairwoman of the CDU district association in Göppingen since 1997.

Nicole Razavi has been a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament since April 13, 2006 , to which she was elected via the Geislingen constituency in the 2006 state election. There she sits for her group as a member of the Petitions Committee and Interior Committee. She is also a transport policy spokesperson. Within the parliamentary group, she is the deputy chairman of the domestic affairs working group.

Nicole Razavi is a supporter of Stuttgart 21 . In the run-up to the referendum on the project, she accused State Transport Minister Winfried Hermann of trying to prevent Stuttgart 21 through malicious allegations and incorrect facts and figures. A few months after the referendum, however, costs actually increased in the billions.

Outside employment

In addition to her partisan work, she is President of the Turngau Staufen e. V. She is also a deputy member of the administrative board of Kreissparkasse Göppingen and the advisory board of Alb-Elektrizitätswerk Geislingen-Steige eG.

She belongs to the council (advisory group) of Sweco GmbH in Bremen (formerly Grontmij GmbH). The company is an engineering service provider that is also involved in Stuttgart 21.
