Location of the municipality

Niederbuchsiten is a municipality in the Gäu district in the canton of Solothurn in Switzerland .

The village is characterized by many farmhouses from the time of the Thirty Years War . Before 1934 there was a Baroque church decorated with wall paintings on the site of today's parish church of St. Nicholas , of which only the master builder stone from 1604 and the empire baptismal font are left.
