Nigel Moore

Nigel Moore (born January 4, 1992 in Tockwith , England ) is a British racing driver .

Career

Moore began his motorsport career in karting , in which he was active until 2007. In 2007 he also made his debut in GT racing. He was instant champion of the British Ginetta Junior Championship. In 2008 Moore switched to the British Ginetta G50 Cup and won the championship title with 14 wins out of 19 races. He also took part in a number of races in the British GT Championship , scored two wins and finished eleventh overall in the GT4 standings. In 2009 Moore was runner-up in the GT4 classification of the British GT Championship. He also competed in four races of the GT4 European Cup and finished the season with a victory in fourth place. In 2009 Moore also made his debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours . At the age of 17, he became the youngest British participant to date and the youngest LMP1 starter in this race.

2010 joined Moore in Formula racing and competed in the Formula Palmer Audi . With three wins he was not the driver with the most victories, but with 12 podium finishes from 20 races he won the championship title ahead of Maxime Jousse .
