Nikolaus Bertram von Below (* 1728 in Schlawe ; † July 29, 1779 in Gatz ), was the Royal Prussian Chamber President.

Life

Nikolaus Bertram von Below was a member of the Pomeranian aristocratic family von Below and son of Paul Bertram von Below (* 1691; † 1765), royal Prussian prime lieutenant in Fusilier Regiment No. 28 (Moselle) and heir to Gatz, Medenick, Reddentin , Reblin and Runow and Barbara von Bandemer .

family

Below married in 1760 with Amalie Charlotte von Auer († before 1775) and in 1775 in second marriage with Charlotte Wilhelmine von Woedtke adH Sydow (* 1757; † 1798). From his first marriage he left a daughter Charlotte Amalie Friederike († after 1799), who also entered the state of marriage twice.

Career

In 1749 Below enrolled at the University of Königsberg and was auscultator at the War and Domain Chamber in Königsberg from May 1752 . On May 15, 1756, he was promoted to War and Domain Council in Gumbinnen , but moved back to Königsberg in the same position in April 1763. In June 1771 he was appointed Artistic Director in Elbing with the title of Privy Councilor . In the course of taking possession of Pommerellen , he was promoted to President of the Chamber in Marienwerder . On June 8, 1773 Below was replaced by King Friedrich II because of poor conduite .

Below was heir to his father's property. After his death, Gatz fell to District Administrator Casper Ludwig von Below , Reblin became the property of Otto Bogislaff von Kleist .
