Nikolaus Timm
Nikolaus Timm (born December 6, 1950 in Cloppenburg , † October 14, 1994 in Berlin ) was a German actor and director .
Life
Nikolaus Timm grew up with his brother Rudolf as the son of Franz and Johanna Timm nee. Luttmann († July 28, 2012 ) in Cloppenburg. After finishing school, he first learned a commercial profession before going to the Hamburg University of Music and Drama in 1972 under the direction of Eduard Marks . During his studies in Hamburg he painted a lot and took lessons from Reiner Müller-Tombrink. He exhibited some of his paintings in companies and sold them to finance his studies. After his studies he played at various German theaters, the Oldenburg State Theater , Theater Bremen , Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg, Theater im Zimmer Hamburg, Altonaer Theater Hamburg and the Schillertheater (Berlin) .
In 1985 he founded the Theater im Zimmer Berlin , which he mainly directed. Among other things, he staged the play by Peter Hack's A Conversation in the Stein House about the absent Herr von Goethe with Monica Gruber as Frau von Stein, which was filmed by ZDF / 3sat in 1991 and broadcast in three parts by 3sat in 1992.
