Nitti - Der Bluthund (Original title: Frank Nitti: The Enforcer ) is an American crime film from 1988 about Frank Nitti , the former boss of the Chicago outfit .

Frank Nitti came to Chicago as a young man, where he quickly got into disputes between youth gangs. He becomes confidante of the gangster Al Capone , who is a member of the so-called Chicago Outfit. Little by little he worked his way up to the top of the organization until he was plagued by private and professional blows of fate and committed suicide in 1943.

The lexicon of international film judges that the film is an "[...] overall [...] acceptable genre film". The "remarkable performance of the main actor and the successful inclusion of historical newsreel recordings" contrasted with "deficiencies in the psychological characterization".
