Blansinger Grien is a nature reserve in the municipality of Efringen-Kirchen in the district of Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg .

The 23.6 hectare area with the identification number 3.266, which is located south of the Efringen-Kirchen district of Kleinkems between the A5 and the L 137 road , has been designated as a nature reserve since October 21, 2003.

meaning

The former gravel pit and its surroundings with valuable habitats of different characteristics such as the white sedge-oak-linden forest, gravel soils with pioneer corridors and gaps in dry vegetation as well as various grass communities are habitat for a large number of sometimes highly endangered plant and animal species, especially butterfly species . Protective purpose is the conservation of the habitats of species of the Birds Directive , in particular of gray-headed woodpecker , middle spotted woodpecker , honey buzzard and black kite .
