Kapellengrien is a nature reserve in the area of ​​the municipalities of Bad Bellingen and Efringen-Kirchen in the district of Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg .

The 65.9  hectare area with the identification number 3.202, which lies northwest of the Efringen-Kirchen district of Kleinkems between the A 5 and the Rhine , has been designated as a nature reserve since December 5, 1994.

meaning

It is a particularly diverse area of ​​the southern Upper Rhine with different, closely adjacent biotope types - the Rhine with landfall areas , dry floodplains and gravel pits . The area is the habitat of a large number of rare animal and plant species, some of which are threatened with extinction. It is an important breeding, migration and wintering area for rare bird species.
