The Ruschbachtal nature reserve is located in the municipality of Grenzach-Wyhlen in the district of Lörrach .

Characteristics

Location and description

The Ruschbachtal nature reserve is located in the municipality of Grenzach-Wyhlen in the Wyhlen district with a total size of around 30.7 ha. The nature reserve is a geologically interesting valley (Rustelgraben) with semi-natural deciduous forests (some with box). It is the habitat for a number of rare animal and plant species.

Protection purpose

The protection purpose is the preservation of the Ruschbach valley
1. as an interesting, geological object of great scientific importance;
2. as an area with largely natural vegetation;
3. As a habitat for rare animal and plant species.
