Trini Alvarado

Trinidad "Trini" Alvarado (born January 10, 1967 in New York City ) is an American actress .

Life

Alvarado's father, Domingo Alvarado, is of Spanish descent and her mother, Sylvia Alvarado, comes from a Puerto Rican family. Trini Alvarado studied art at Fordham University in New York City.

Alvarado first starred in short films like Big Apple Birthday from 1978. For her leading role in the comedy Not From Bad Parents (1979) she was nominated for the Young Artist Award . In the comedy Satisfaction (1988) she played one of the bigger roles alongside Justine Bateman , Liam Neeson and Julia Roberts . In the literary film adaptation of Betty and Her Sisters (1994), she appeared alongside Winona Ryder and Gabriel Byrne . She took on a bigger role alongside Michael J. Fox in the horror comedy The Frighteners (1996) directed by Peter Jackson . In 1999 she was nominated for an ALMA Award for her role in the comedy Paulie - A Chatterbox Makes His Way (1998) .

Trini Alvarado is married to actor Robert McNeill. The couple have a son and a daughter.
