Nogowschütz , Polish Nogowczyce , is a village in Upper Silesia in the municipality of Ujest in the powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship .

history

In the referendum in Upper Silesia in 1921, 15 residents voted for Germany and 84 for Poland - although Nogowschütz remained in the Weimar Republic . In 1933 there were 214 inhabitants in Nogowschütz.

On September 3, 1936, the place was renamed Wangschütz . In 1939 there were 295 residents in Wangschütz.

In 1945 the place came under Polish administration and was renamed Nogowczyce. In 1950 the place became part of the Opole Voivodeship and in 1999 the re-established Powiat Strzelecki . In November 2008, the place was also given the official German place name Nogowschütz.
