Olschowa , Polish Olszowa , is a Polish village in the municipality of Ujest in the powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship , Upper Silesia .

Olschowa was first mentioned in a document in 1302. In 1843 there were 43 houses and 374 inhabitants.

In 1910 there were 387 inhabitants. In the referendum on March 20, 1921, 20 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 105 for Poland. Nonetheless, Olschowa remained with the German Empire. 1925 lived in the place 511 inhabitants. In 1936 the place was renamed Erlenbusch . Until 1945 the place was in the district of Groß Strehlitz .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration, was renamed Olszowa and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place became part of the Opole Voivodeship and in 1999 the re-established Powiat Strzelecki . In November 2008, the place was also given the official German place name Olschowa .
