history

In the corridor Ksiądzlas , in which the town is located today, the outdoor gardener Thomas Lippok from Dollna bought a Hube or 30 acres of land , according to a purchase letter dated May 5, 1766 . Imperial Count Philipp von Colonna bought it in exchange for him. In 1795, Count Philipp von Colonna built a Vorwerk on the site and named it Ksiądzlas Xionslas after the old field name .

After the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, Xionslas remained with the German Reich . In the 1930s the place was renamed Andreashof . Until 1945 the place belonged to the district of Groß Strehlitz .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Księży Las and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. After 1945 the Vorwerk was used as a PGR. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to Powiat Strzelecki . On August 28, 2006, German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality of Ujest, which Księży Las belongs to.
