Nora Schultz

Nora Schultz (* 1975 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German concept , installation and performance artist . She lives and works in Boston .

life and work

Nora Schultz studied film and painting from 1998 to 2005 at the Städelschule in Frankfurt, in 2005 at the Bard College in New York and then at the Summer Academy Foundation at the Paul Klee Center in Bern. Nora Schultz has been Assistant Professor for Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard University since 2015 .

Nora Schultz's work follows the tradition of post-minimalist art and conceptual art of the 1960s and 1970s. Spatial situations and architecture are the starting point for her artistic work. Acoustic and atmospheric interventions create sculptural sound works, videos, installations and performances. She worked several times with steel bars, rubber, sheet metal, ropes and similar materials.
