Norbert Wiggershaus

Norbert Theodor Wiggershaus (born October 1, 1939 in Wetter ; † July 24, 2015 in Schallstadt ) was a German officer ( Colonel retired) and military historian .

Life

Wiggershaus was the son of a commercial employee. After graduating from high school in Wetter in 1960, he served in the Bundeswehr . From 1963/64 he studied political science , history and international law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1971 he was at Karl Dietrich Bracher at the Faculty with the thesis The Anglo-German Naval Agreement of June 18, 1935. England and the secret German rearmament from 1933 to 1935 to the Dr. phil. PhD.

He was u. a. Head of the research area "International Military History and Conflicts since 1945" (Research Area IV) Military History Research Office (MGFA) in Freiburg im Breisgau. As a colonel in the general staff , he retired.

In the 2013 federal election , he ran for a lower position in the CDU Baden-Württemberg list . Wiggershaus was the deputy federal treasurer of the senior citizens' union of the CDU.
