Nordic World Ski Championships 1929 / participant (Latvia)

Latvia was represented by one participant at the 6th Nordic World Ski Championships , which took place in Zakopane , Poland from February 5 to 10, 1929 .

Kārlis Bukass , also known by his German form of name Karl Bukas , was a well-known athlete and as such a two-time Latvian marathon champion . He also played bandy and soccer , but mainly devoted himself to skiing and founded the Riga Ski Club in 1933 .

In Zakopane he took part in the two cross-country runs over 18 and 50 km. Over the short distance he reached 33rd place, in the endurance run he had to end the race early.
