Romania was represented at the 6th Nordic World Ski Championships , which took place from February 5 to 10, 1929 in Zakopane , Poland , by four participants in the individual competitions and one team in the military patrol race.

The best placement in the competitions belonging to the World Championships was achieved by Hermann Zojer with 30th place in cross-country skiing over 18 km.

In the alpine downhill race , which was not included in the official competition program of the FIS , Toma Calista came 15th as the best Romanian. In the likewise unofficial military patrol run , Romania took third place.

Friedrich Lexen and Hermann Zojer were members of the German-speaking minority of the Transylvanian Saxons .

The Romanian delegates Cesiano, Solescu and Otto Lexen, the older brother of the skier Friedrich Lexen, took part in the FIS-Konress.
