Norman Richardson

Charles Norman "Norm" Richardson (born July 24, 1977 in Brooklyn , New York City , New York ) is a retired American basketball player .

Career

The 1.96 m tall small forward and Hofstra University graduate played in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls (2001 to 2002) and the Indiana Pacers (2002). In 2002 he finally joined the Italian team Victoria Libertas Pesaro and moved from there in 2003 to the North Charleston Lowgators , with whom he played in the 2003 NBA Development League , before moving to another club. It went back to Europe, where he joined the Serbian first division club KK Roter Stern Belgrade . He stayed with the Serbs until 2004, before moving to Guaiqueríes de Margarita in the Venezuelan League Profesional de Baloncesto for a short period . After he was active there in 2004, he played from 2005 to 2006 with the Fayetteville Patriots in the NBA Development League before the team disbanded and Richardson was again forced to change clubs.

His next stop was again in Europe, this time in France, where he played for Paris Basket Racing in the Ligue Nationale de Basket in 2006 and transferred to league competitor Cholet Basket in the same year , to which he remained loyal until 2007. Then he moved to Argentina for a few months, in the Liga Nacional de Básquetbol to the Boca Juniors . From there he came to Polonia Warsaw in the same year in the Polish basketball league, where he was active until 2008 and then moved to the German basketball league , in which he also ended his active career. First he worked at TBB Trier from 2008 to 2009, at the end of his career he belonged to the Eisbären Bremerhaven , where he ended his active basketball career after 2009 and 2010 in the last year mentioned.

At the end of 2012 it was announced that the Hofstra alumni would be inducted into the University's Hall of Fame in 2013.
