North Common Meadow is a 25 acres (10.1 hectare ) nature reserve near Petersham in the state of Massachusetts in the United States . It is managed by The Trustees of Reservations organization.
Protected area
The area, initially used as pasture, was part of the Nichewaug Inn golf course in the first half of the 20th century . At the end of the 1970s, the trustees bought the property with the help of anonymous donations and converted it into a nature reserve. It is connected to the neighboring Brooks Woodland Preserve by hiking trails .
