The Northeimer Handball Club e. V. ( NHC ) is a handball club from the Lower Saxony city ​​of Northeim . It was founded on June 21, 2011 as the successor to HSG Northeim / Hammenstedt / Hillerse . The purpose of the non-profit association is to promote the sport of handball.

Men

After the first men's team of the Northeimer HC in the seasons 2011/12 and 2012/13 2014/15 each took second place in the handball upper league Lower Saxony , they succeeded in 2014 and 2017 as champions of the upper league, promotion to the 3rd division , where they played in the season 2015/16 and 2017/18 in the season east. In the 2018/19 season, Northeimer HC plays in the 3rd League West. In the 2019/20 season, Northeimer HC played in the 3rd division middle. In 2020/21 Northeimer HC was assigned to the 3rd Northeast League.

Women

The women of the NHC took second place in 2011/12 and third place in 2012/13 in the Lower Saxony handball league. In 2014 they won the league championship just like the men, but for financial reasons they waived promotion to the third division . The team was punished by the handball association of Lower Saxony with two minus points for the 2014/15 season.
