Novyje Lapsary ( Russian Новые Лапсары , Chuvash Ҫӗнӗ Лапсар ) is a settlement (possjolok) in the Republic of Chuvashia in Russia with 6955 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place belongs to the urban district of the republic capital Cheboksary and is located about 9 km south of its center and the right bank of the Volga (there dammed up to the Cheboksarsk reservoir ).
history
Nowyje Lapsary ("New Lapsary") was founded in 1970 immediately west of the village of Lapsary. The housing estate was 1983, the administration of the city Soviets assumed from Cheboksary and received at the same time the status of an urban-type settlement . Since the administrative reform in 2006, Novyje Lapsary has been classified as a rural settlement.

Immediately north of Novyje Lapsary, the M7 Volga federal highway runs from Moscow via Kazan to Ufa , which bypasses the center of Cheboksary to the south on this section. The settlement is connected to the Cheboksary city bus network.
To the northwest of the settlement is the Cheboksary-2 freight yard on the route from Kanasch to Cheboksary. There branches off a route to Novocheboksarsk that only serves goods traffic .
