Nucleotide diphosphatase 3 (synonymous NPPase 3 , CD203c ) is an enzyme from the group of pyrophosphatases .

properties

The nucleotide diphosphatase 3 is at the same time a diphosphatase ( EC  3.6.1.9 ) and diesterase ( EC  3.1.4.1 ). It hydrolyzes the bond between two phosphates ( phosphodiester bond ) or between phosphate and sulfate , as does nucleotide diphosphatase 1 . Substrates of nucleotide diphosphatase 3 are e.g. B. NAD + , NADP + , FAD , CoA and UDP-glucose , and some triphosphates such as ATP , GTP , CTP , TTP and UTP and also diadenosine polyphosphates and cAMP . It is formed in the inside of the bile ducts , in the large intestine , in the kidneys , in the prostate and in the uterus , as well as in several cancer cell lines. In addition, NPPase 3 is secreted into the blood serum or the lumen of the respective epithelial cell . The nucleotide diphosphatase 3 can also be found on basophils and mast cells . It's glycosylated .

FAD+ H 2 O  + AMP FMN

The nucleotide diphosphatase 3 is involved in the inhibition of an allergic reaction of basophils.

The nucleotide diphosphatase 3 is used in the basophil activation test for allergies as a marker for the activation of basophils, as does CD63 .
