Nusenna is a district ( fraction , Italian frazione ) of the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti in the province of Siena , Tuscany region in Italy .

The place is about 8 kilometers east of the capital Gaiole in Chianti and about 22 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital Siena in the eastern area of Chianti on the border with the province of Arezzo . The regional capital Florence is about 40 km northwest. The place is part of the diocese of Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro . Nusenna is 561 meters and had about 35 inhabitants in 2001. In 2017 there were 41 residents. The closest places are Castagnoli (also a district of Gaiole in Chianti, approx. 6 km west) and Mercatale Valdarno ( AR , district of Bucine and Montevarchi , approx. 4 km northeast).
