history

The stadium opened in October 1962 and is located east of the Senica City Park. There was some renovation work in 2009 to make the stadium fit for the first division. The playing area was renewed in 2010 and a video surveillance system was installed. The standard size playing field is now equipped with an irrigation and drainage system and turf heating . The illuminance of the floodlight system is 1,545 lux . The arena has six entrances, two of which are assigned to the guest fans. An electronic ticket system and turnstile systems are to follow.

The stadium is currently undergoing a gradual, phased renovation that began in November 2012 and should be completed by 2015. The individual construction phases will take place during the winter break. First, in the spring of 2013, two new buildings, each with 1,011 seats in eight rows of seats, replaced the old tiers in the curves behind the gates. In the spring of 2014, the second phase with the opposite stand was completed, making 5,070 seats available in the stadium.

The stadium roof consists of a steel structure that is covered with transparent , blue plastic. The seating in the stands is also kept blue throughout. A large scoreboard has been installed on the rank in the southeast corner of the soccer arena. After the renovation is complete, the sports facility will offer 8,000 seats. Overall, the new stadium of the FK Senica will cost five million euros.

The work is financially supported by a funding project of the national football association Slovenský futbalový zväz (SFZ). To this end, the Slovak government is contributing a total of 45 million euros to the construction or renovation of 21 football stadiums in the country , spread over ten years. The construction work of the OMS Arena will be supported with one million euros.

There are other sports and training facilities on the site. On the back of the back straight there is an artificial turf playing field (105 × 68 m) with floodlights and another training field with an irrigation system in 105 × 68 m. In order to be able to train regardless of the weather, the facility has an air dome with a 60 × 40 m artificial turf field. Behind the south stand is a swimming pool and next to it a tennis facility. In the area of the OMS Arena there are 100 car parking spaces and two bus parking spaces. 500 additional places are available outside the facility.
