Oberfrauendorf is a district of the Saxon town of Glashütte in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .
geography
Oberfrauendorf lies at the foot of the Kohlkuppe (614 meters) in the Eastern Ore Mountains . On it is a surveying column of the Royal Saxon Triangulation that was erected in the 1860s .
Oberfrauendorf is laid out as a forest hoof village along a brook, the Grimmschen Wasser (named after Reinhardtsgrimma ) or Lockwitzbach , which rises in the higher elevations . This brook flows in a northerly direction to flow into the Elbe in Dresden - Laubegast .

history
The first documentary mention was on May 14, 1404 when the village of Oberfrawendorff , next to the villages of Cunnersdorf , Hoenwalde and Schlottwitz, was entrusted to the Tyczemann von Grunenrode and Renczen von Grimme (Reinhardtsgrimma) by the Margrave Wilhelm von Meißen.
