history
The place created as a forest hoof village, was first mentioned in 1358. In 1429 the place Ulberndorf, which at that time was still divided into Ober and Niederulberndorf, was destroyed by the Hussites. In 1463 Ulberndorf belonged to the Dippoldiswalde nursing home, from 1569 to the Dippoldiswalde office . From 1856 to 1875 Ulberndorf belonged to the Dippoldiswalde court office, and then to the office of the same name . In 1925, the population of Ulberndorf was divided into 418 Evangelical Lutheran residents and eleven Catholics . On July 1, 1950, the neighboring village of Elend was incorporated. Two years later, Ulberndorf became part of the Dippoldiswalde district , which emerged from the administration. In 1973 the previously independent place was incorporated into Dippoldiswalde. The districts of Dippoldiswalde and Freital merged in 1994 and henceforth formed the Weißeritz district , to which Ulberndorf belonged until the merger with the district of Saxon Switzerland to form the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains.
