history

On June 6, 1710, Elector Friedrich August I gave the order to divide the Oberhäslicher corridor. The place Reinberg was created on the Oberhäslicher Flur and has been its district ever since. Reinberg later became its own rural community with the Lichteneichen district. In 1791 Reinberg belonged to the Dippoldiswalde office , from 1856 to 1875 to the Dippoldiswalde court office, then to the office of the same name . The population of Reinberg was divided into 138 Evangelical Lutheran residents and one Catholic in 1925 . On July 1, 1950, Reinberg was incorporated into Oberhäslich. Two years later, Reinberg became part of the Dippoldiswalde district , which emerged from the administration. In 1994 Oberhäslich and its districts were incorporated into Dippoldiswalde. The district of Dippoldiswalde and the district of Freital merged in the same year and from then on formed the Weißeritzkreis , to which Reinberg belonged until it merged with the district of Saxon Switzerland to form the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains.
