from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frauendorf was a short-lived community in Saxony that existed in the Weißeritz district in 1994 and 1995 . It went up in Reinhardtsgrimma , which today belongs to the city of Glashütte .

geography

The community of Frauendorf was located about five kilometers southeast of the district town of Dippoldiswalde in the Eastern Ore Mountains . A landmark that can be seen from afar is the Luchberg east of the former municipal area. The community itself with its districts Oberfrauendorf and Niederfrauendorf lay in the valley of the Lockwitzbach , which flows into the Elbe in Dresden to the north . Another brook in the former municipality is the Lange Grundbach . The community covered an area of 17.89 km² and consisted of the districts of Ober- and Niederfrauendorf, of which the district of Oberfrauendorf was the larger and extended over large parts of the forest area north of Schmiedeberg and Dönschten . The development of Frauendorf was mainly on the state road 183 , which runs from northeast to southwest and connects Reinhardtsgrimma with Schmiedeberg.

Before it was dissolved, Ulberndorf , Reinholdshain (both in Dippoldiswalde) and the Reinhardtsgrimma community bordered the Frauendorf community in the north . Neighboring to the east were Luchau and Johnsbach (both to Glashütte), to the south of Dönschten (to Schmiedeberg). In the west, the municipality of Schmiedeberg, Naundorf (zu Schmiedeberg) and the municipality of Obercarsdorf bordered Frauendorf.

history

The community of Frauendorf only existed for a little longer than a year, from January 1, 1994 to April 1, 1995. It was formed from the previously independent communities of Ober- and Niederfrauendorf in the district of Dippoldiswalde . Until July 30, 1994 it was part of the Dippoldiswalde district, after which it was part of the Weißeritz district formed in the 1994 district reform . At the time of the new formation, 547 residents were registered in Frauendorf; on July 30, 1994 there were 559 residents.

On April 1, 1995, the communities of Cunnersdorf , Frauendorf and Hirschbach merged with Reinhardtsgrimma.
