Ocurí is a town in the Potosí department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Ocurí is the central place of the district of the same name ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Ocurí in the province of Chayanta . The village is located on a ridge at an altitude of 4026  m on the Río Ocurí , a tributary of the Río Guadalupe and Río Guadalajara .

Ocurí lies between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Andes mountain range of the Cordillera Central in the east. The climate of the region is a typical daytime climate , in which the mean temperature fluctuation between day and night is more pronounced than between summer and winter.
