Odette Lapierre
Odette Lapierre (born January 28, 1955 in Lévis ) is a former Canadian marathon runner .
In 1985 she finished second in the Montreal Marathon. The following year she won bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh and finished sixth in the New York City Marathon . In 1987 she finished fourth in the Boston Marathon and came in 16th at the World Athletics Championships in Rome .
In 1988 she qualified with a third place in Boston for the Olympic Games in Seoul , where she ran in eleventh place.
In 1989 she finished eighth in Boston. The following year, an eighth place at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland was followed by a victory in the 10 km road race of the Ottawa Race Weekend .
In 1991 she finished ninth in Boston, defended her title in Ottawa and finished fourth in the Twin Cities Marathon . In the last year of her career, she finished eighth in Boston and finished 19th in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.
