Odilon Guimarães Moreira

Odilon Guimarães Moreira (born January 9, 1939 in Presidente Bernardes , Minas Gerais , Brazil ), is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic former bishop of Itabira-Fabriciano .

Life

Odilon Guimarães Moreira was ordained a priest for the diocese of Caratinga on January 23, 1969 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Vitória and titular bishop of Flumenepiscense on August 4, 1999 . The Archbishop of Vitória, Silvestre Luís Scandián SVD , donated him episcopal ordination on October 24 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were José Eugênio Corrêa , Old Bishop of Caratinga, and Hélio Gonçalves Heleno , Bishop of Caratinga.

On January 22nd, 2003 he was appointed Bishop of Itabira-Fabriciano . Pope Benedict XVI accepted his resignation on February 21, 2013.
