Oesfeld is a district of the Markt Bütthard in the district of Würzburg in Bavaria . The place currently has 116 inhabitants, of which 111 have the main residence and only five have the secondary residence in Oesfeld.

geography

Oesfeld is located about four kilometers southwest of the main municipality at 320  m above sea level. NN at the Balbach.

In the south, west and east, the community is only about 1.5 kilometers away from the state border with Baden-Württemberg ( Main-Tauber district ). In the vicinity of Oesfeld is the westernmost point of the southern district of Würzburg and the triangle of Baden, Bavaria and Württemberg.

The closest places are the Lauda-Königshofener district Oberbalbach four kilometers southwest of Oesfeld, the Igersheim district Bowiesen one kilometer west, Neubronn 2 kilometers southwest, Harthausen 3 kilometers south and Bernsfelden 3.5 kilometers east.

The place is connected with the nearest villages by two district roads (to Bütthard, Oberbalbach, Neubronn and Bernsfelden) and two local roads (to Bowiesen and Harthausen). In Bernsfelden and Harthausen there is a connection to the federal highway 19 .

The Catholic Church of St. Erhard is located in the center of Oesfeld .

history

On January 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into Markt Bütthard.
