Omaruru is a settlement and headquarters of the constituency Daures in the region Erongo in Namibia . Okombahe is the seat of the traditional leader of the ǃOeǂgan , a Damara clan .

The settlement is located on the Omaruru River , about 60 kilometers west of Omaruru , a good 70 kilometers north of Karibib .

Okombahe received its official status as a settlement in June 2015 after more than 20 years.

Okombahe has a German-financed cultural center and a health station. Since August 2015, olive trees have been planted around the settlement in an experimental project .
